Is it AI? Check a video or image
Reads the labels a file carries — Content Credentials (C2PA) and basic metadata — and tells you in plain words what they say. No magic score, no guessing.
Your file stays on your device. It's analyzed in your browser and never uploaded.
Choose a file
Tip: check the original file if you can. Sites like X, TikTok, Instagram and YouTube often strip labels when they re-encode uploads.
2 Metadata clues hints, not proof
What the answers mean
- Labeled as AI-made — the file's credentials (or its metadata) say an AI tool generated it. A signed label from a known company is strong evidence.
- Has a camera or edit history — the credentials record a capture device or editing steps, and no AI label. Helpful, but it only covers what was recorded.
- No label found — can't tell — the usual result. Most videos carry no credentials, and many sites strip them. Missing labels do not mean the file is real, or fake.
Spot it yourself
- Hands & bodies — extra or merging fingers, limbs that bend wrong, teeth and ears that change shape.
- Text & signs — warped letters, gibberish words, logos that shift from frame to frame.
- Physics — objects passing through each other, liquids or hair moving oddly, things appearing from nowhere.
- Lighting & shadows — shadows pointing different ways, reflections that don't match, too-perfect skin.
- Glitches — faces or backgrounds that "melt" or morph, especially at edges and during fast motion.
- Audio sync — lips out of step with speech, flat or robotic voices, room sound that doesn't fit the scene.
- Source check — who posted it first? Search a frame with a reverse image search and look for the original upload and trusted reporting.

Automated detectors make mistakes in both directions. Use several signals, not one. Links are for convenience; we're not affiliated with any of these services.
FAQ
Can this tell me for sure if something is AI?
No tool can. This checker reads labels that a file carries. If a trusted label says AI made it, that's strong evidence. If there's no label, it can't tell either way — and it will say so instead of inventing a percentage.
Is my file uploaded?
No. The file is read by code running in your browser. The page only loads its own code from this site; it has no analytics, no cookies, and a security policy that blocks sending data elsewhere.
What are Content Credentials (C2PA)?
An open standard for signed "nutrition labels" inside media files. Some AI tools, cameras and editing apps add them to record who made a file, with which tool, and what edits happened. A valid signature means the label hasn't been changed since it was signed.
Why does my AI video show "No label found"?
Many AI tools don't add credentials, some add only an invisible watermark this page can't read, and most social platforms strip metadata when they re-encode. Try the original download from the AI tool if you have it.
Are big files OK?
Yes, up to about 1 GB, but the credential check reads the whole file into your browser's memory, so very large 4K clips can take a while and may fail on phones. The metadata check stays quick.
